Meet our staff
Dr. Suzanne Downs is the owner and Executive Director of Suzy’s School, Inc. With more than 30 years of experience in early childhood education, she has served in both teaching and administrative roles across all age groups and remains passionate about supporting children and families within the school community.
In addition to her work at Suzy’s School, Dr. Downs serves as an adjunct professor in the Graduate School of Education at American International College, where she has taught graduate-level education courses for over ten years. She also owned and operated a performing arts dance studio for sixteen years before retiring from the studio in 2019 to pursue her doctoral degree in Educational Leadership and Supervision.
Dr. Downs holds Director and Lead Teacher certifications through the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC). She earned a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree and a master’s degree from American International College, a bachelor’s degree from Salem State University, and an associate degree from North Shore Community College. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and cuddling with her dog, Jasper.

Sharon DeLuca Preschool After School Sharon DeLuca is an experienced educator, who currently teaches in the after-school program at the Suzy's School. She has an associate’s degree from North Shore Community College and has taught the performing arts for many years.
Sharon holds a teacher’s certification from the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care. Her fun energetic curriculum engages students of all ages and is dedicated to inspire an engaging atmosphere. Sharon loves to travel and enjoys sharing that experience with her students through an array of artifacts, stories, and pictures. Preschool
Ana Perdomo has been working with young children for many years and brings valuable experience, dedication, and enthusiasm to the classroom. She graduated from North Shore Community College and holds both a Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) Teacher License and a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential. In addition, she speaks fluent Spanish, which helps support communication with children and families within our school community. In her free time, Ana enjoys traveling and hopes to visit the Kennedy Space Center in Orlando, Florida to learn more about space exploration and the moon. |
Jared Downs After School Jared Downs earned an associate's degree from North Shore Community College. He is a Lynn native and a graduate of Lynn English High School. Jared has a computer-based technology background to support an array of technical skills. His love for sports, especially soccer, technology, and streaming a variety of video games. His many travels to Walt Disney World are great topics to share and connect with his students. |
Darlyn Miranda

Darlyn Miranda is a Lynn native. She has a degree in Occupational Health Services and is a licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant. She is pursuing an advanced degree in Occupational Therapy at Salem State University. She has extensive experience working with children with special needs in a variety of clinical and educational settings.
Darlyn loves spending time with her family, enjoys the outdoors, arts and crafts, and thrifting. |
